Admissions Policy

Peak School has a policy for the admissions based on the principles of transparency and fairness, for which purpose the School’s admissions committee collectively reviews cases and selects students. Without discrimination, Peak School welcomes students from all communities and religions, with only merit as the sole criterion for admission. Admissions are taken from March to August at Peak Schools. Registrations are open throughout the academic year. Academic session begins in March each year consisting of two terms. Annual exams are conducted in February, no student is allowed admission without passing the entry test and interview. The proportion of weight-age given to the test and the interview are as follows: All decisions regarding the selection of students is made by a panel and are considered final. Test: 80% Interview: 20%

Admission Procedure

The documents to be attached with the admission form include: ✓ Photocopy of Provisional certificate and of character certificate from last attended institution. ✓ Original School Leaving Certificate from the previous school. ✓ 2 recent passport size photographs. ✓ Progress or report card from the last school. ✓ Attested photocopy of Birth Certificates or Form ‘B’. ✓ Copy of CNIC of the parents/guardian of the child.
✓ The completed admission form along with documents mentioned above must be submitted to the school office. ✓ After the admission form has been processed, a date is given for the applicant’s assessment. ✓ Parents are informed of the result within two working days of the child’s assessment. If a place is offered, the child’s admission /enrolment must be confirmed and all dues paid within 3 days of the date of the offer. ✓ If, within 3 days, enrolment is not confirmed, the child’s place is offered to another candidate.
Following fees are payable at the time of admission: ✓ Registration Fee non-refundable. ✓ Admission fee non-refundable. ✓ Security fee refundable. ✓ Tuition fee payable bimonthly. ✓ Annual resource charges payable once a year and/or at the time of admission.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

Play Group/Junior Montessori

Children must be of age 3 but under age 4 on 1st February of the year of admission year. For admission to playgroup, children are assessed for their independence and ability to respond intelligently and normally to stimuli.

Prep/Senior Montessori

Children must be above age 4 but under age 5 on 1st February of the admission year. For admission to prep children are assessed for their understanding of English language, letters of alphabet (English) numbers, as well as independence and conduct.

Nursery/Advance Montessori

Children must be above age 5 but under age 6 on 1st February of the admission year. For admission children are assessed for their understanding of English language, letters of alphabet (English), numbers, as well as independence and conduct.

Grade 1 to Grade 3

Children must be above age 6 but under 7 on 1st February of the admission years. For each successive grade, a year should be added to the age. For admission, children take a written test in English, Urdu and Math. Children are also assessed for their English and Urdu reading and spoken.

Grade 4 to Grade 7

Children must be of age 9 – 10 years on 1st February of the year in which they seek admission. For each successive grade, a year should be added. Applicants are required to sit in a written entrance examination in English, Urdu and Math.

Grade 8 to Grade 10

Children entering class 8th must have passed their 13th birthday by 1st February of the year of admission and must pass the entrance test in English, Urdu, Math (and science subjects, if applicable)
